FRAMES

Two standard frames are available as detailed below, although we are able to manufacture bespoke options (minimum section for fire rated frame is 70x32mm). Frames can be manufactured from softwood or hardwood, with full factory polish or primed ready for final site decoration.

Frames are pre factory assembled, using a traditional mortise and tenon joint, generally intumescent seals are pre fitted to the frames. Frames are usually manufactured from a solid section up to 140mm. For walls wider than this, an extension lining is incorporated as detailed below.

Certification

All our doorsets are fully certified to recognised performance standards. GE Door Manufacturing is accredited to the BS EN ISO 9001:2015. All fire resisting products are manufactured under the BM TRADA Q Mark or BWF Certifire - independent product conformity schemes.
